Napier is situated in the Overberg region of the Western Cape with its abundance of flora, mountains and natural beauty it is quiet enough to find perfect peace an tranquility but still within easy reach of Arniston with its amazing beaches and whitewashed cottages …. totally uncommercialised and like stepping back in time. Struisbaai is also about a 50 min. drive from Napier with the most stunning beaches with warm water and safe swimming for children and adults alike. The harbour is a very special landmark, still with our colourful old fishing boats and rays that get fed by the slipway, horseriding and of course some really good restaurants to boot. From Struisbaai and another 10 mins. later you will pass the very rugged and beautiful coastline leading to Cape Agulhas (the Tip of Africa) where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet, characterised by our famous Lighthouse.

Another short day-trip from Napier would of course be Hermanus with all it has to offer and on the way to Hermanus is the pretty village of Stanford. Taking a detour from here you could go to Gansbaai and then around on our amazing roads via Elim and the Black Oystercatcher back into Napier.
